how much does irony cost?
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

JuJu to the Pats 33/3.
Seems reasonable enough but 22 guaranteed.
Maybe we just weren’t confident he could hold up and had max value we would spend.

Thielen and Jarvis Landry?

Orlando Brown Bengals.
4/64 - 43 guaranteed.
That over the first 2 years.

Rumors are he wanted to sign with a team that could play the Chiefs in the playoffs and if so, fuck’im.

To me that makes it seem like he is salty he couldn't stay with KC?

Yea.
It’s also odd because we offered him a 140 million contract just last season which was more like a 5 year 95 million deal bc the last year was heavily weighted.

Regardless he could have been paid more here if he hadn’t thought he was the best tackle in the NFL.

I'm not sad about it. I don't think there's a huge gap between Taylor and Brown, generally. I think Brown might be a little more talented, but I think Taylor's talents might be better suited to what we want to do.

I guess in a way it’s better than him netting that contract last year bc he’s not worth that.

Seems salty that we didn't pay him as the best LT in the game simply for being Mahomes' LT. That's fine. He is replaceable. Almost everyone is.

I don't mind Thielen at the right price, so long as he understands he is maybe WR3 in KC. Seems to have been a good teammate in MIN and is solid if he can stay healthy. Landry I would pass on.

Exact reason KC walked away. He turned down more money last summer from KC but obviously wanted to go somewhere else.

How do the Bengals even have that cap space? Tons up front. Tons of dead cap.

Interesting (to me) that the Bears seem to feel comfortable with Foreman, Homer, and Herbert as their RBs. I feel they are all adequate but I would like a "difference maker" at that position.
Perhaps they are looking to draft a RB in the 1st or 2nd round?

Damn it! Why am I posting about a 3-14 team when most people reading this are fans of a Super Bowl champion? I need to realize my audience.

Those RBs are just fine.
Herbert needs more touches.

It's also the case that, in this NFL, running backs are extremely fungible.

You also have Fields who almost broke the rushing record for a QB in the NFL.

Right. Although, that's a dangerous game to play.

Yes it is, and having a pocket that constantly collapses is equally as dangerous.
Bears need better pass protection.
It's ok, if/when Mr. Fields Cookies gets crushed we have P.J. don't call me Hershel Walker to replace him. :?

The difference between 3-14 and 14-3 is a good draft and some free agents.
