So I was replacing a window in a house today, found a newspaper bulletin in the wall. From April 18th 1906, noon special printing, detailing the first information available about the huge San Francisco Quake.

Pretty cool. Can't just toss it, it made it 117 years - I won't be the one to end it, ill probably frame it and put it somewhere i suppose.

supposedly this house has/had gold bullion stashed away somewhere. But, I've torn a lot of the place apart and found no such thing. Lots of empty rusty coffee cans though.

I found 2 petrified birds in the kitchen ceiling when I tooj a section of that down. I took one of them on the chin as I pulled down a chunk of plaster. Wonderful.

Very nice. I was working on a kitchen remodel on the Plaza years ago, house was built in the 1930's. We pulled down the upper cabinets and a piece of paper fell down onto the floor from behind it. We picked it up and there was writing in pencil, "What the hell did you think you were going to find a million bucks?". We were laughing pretty hard, some carpenter had waited a long time for that punchline to play out. We had it framed and gave it to the Owners of the house.

Speaking of tear outs and renovations, back in the day medicine cabinets had a slot in the back for dropping used razor blades down the wall cavity, and I've always wondered if those ever come back to haunt guys like you?
