Obviously if the choice is Gradey or MJ, I'm taking Gradey.

I think he's 10-20% to come back. The other two are gone, barring injury or something.

Only holdovers will be Dajuan, KJ, Ernest and Zuby.

i would think this has a ton to do with it

limited spots means guys really gotta be able to contribute
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Ah yes, forgot about that. Still a huge number. 4 recruits and 4 transfers. 3 of the 4 recruits can handle the ball. 4th is a wing. Need 3 more wings at least.

I had heard an early rumor.....that MJ was waiting on Gradey's decision.

I dont know that I buy into that....but one can hope....

I think likelihood of those 3 coming back in order is:
Kevin - Not much pro focus. Why not earn a few hundred thou and play ball and be a standout on the team again.
Jalen - This year helped his case more than last year obviously.
Gradey - Yeah right.

I wish they'd all go ahead and declare. Doubtful any of the 3 come back, and it would end the speculation and get transfers locked in sooner

Could just be an idiosyncrasy of how this was reported, but I read recently something to the effect that it's a reduction of three scholarships (total) over three years. The way it was phrased suggested that there was some flexibility around exactly when you'd "lose" those scholarships.

I suppose it wouldn't be the worst idea, if we can do it, to play down two (or even three) next year, get it over with.

If Jalen wants to get drafted, this is probably his best shot.
I bet he goes just after the 1st - like 33-40th.

Have we received official word that he did in fact set an NCAA record for most points in a season by a guy 6'6" or taller, without a single dunk?

I think I remember hearing that someone in the program or one of his family members said he could dunk, but only barely.

Just absurd for a 6'7 or 6'8 guy.

Again, I mean this with love and admiration: he's definitely the worst great player we've had here under Bill. He's not really good at anything...and yet he's somehow great at playing basketball.

I'm a 6 foot white guy and I had in game dunks. How the fuck Wilson gonna go pro if he can't dunk at 6'8

Jalen might be a great rebounder?

dude pulled down 8 a game, despite not being able to dunk, and despite also having to be this team's primary scoring option.

28 career double doubles is 9th all time at KU.

723 points this season is good for 8th all time at KU.

not bad for a dood who can barely jump.

He would dunk in warmups before the games.

I was going to say Royce White but I guess my memory of his scoring abilities are not consistent with reality now that I look up his stats.
Although speaking of ISU, Georges Niang is also in that conversation.

I wonder how many of these guys are leaving because Bill suggested they look elsewhere and how many are leaving to Bill's dismay.
