Pickleball is a tough watch for me personally..

Low, soft hit
Low, soft hit
x20
Hard hit
Hard hit
Hard hit
x2
Low, soft hit
Low, soft hit
x20

Repeated

Get a bunch of amateurs out there and I'll be more entertained. lol

i’d probably agree, generally

a lot of the entertainment, i think, was the novelty of the old dudes out there competing in this particular match

That's true. I did see some clips here and there and man those old guys are still really freaking good.

I remember playing pickleball a ton in like...94-95? foe a couple years. Kind of a novelty game...then it dissappeares for decades. Now it's this huge new thing that people go crazy for....life is weird.

also racquetball. I played a ton of racquetball in the 90s....haven't heard anybody mention that game in years. Does it still exist?

I was an aspiring birder for several years until I discovered mountain biking. Turns out, if the weather is suitable for birding, it's likely suitable for mountain biking.

I never went birding, again.

I had a gym teacher when I was in 7th grade (so 84-85) who was obsessed with pickleball. We had a school-wide after school pickleball tournament. 64 teams, full ncaa tourney bracket set up, etc... It was awesome.

Didn't hear anything about the sport again for decades. We play every now and then. It can be a challenge to get my girls motivated up off their electronics to go outside and do some physical things. But every now and then the stars align and we have some fun with it.
