I don't expect justices to not have policy views.

That said, we should all expect them to operate in good faith, and putting legal principles ahead of their policy views. The very purpose of disclosure requirements is to provide the sunlight that is the best disinfectant.

Skirting those requirements (which is such a charitable description of what happened here that I should get a tax deduction for it) stinks to the high heavens.
