Options are worse and more limited for many sports, but NFLbite is an extremely good stream aggregator for football games.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 4:45 pmIs that really true? Re: NFL Offseason 2023
It won’t happen but if it did, should the Chiefs draft Bijan Robinson if he fell to them?
I know I’ve said no RBs first round but you might here if it’s that late.

I say - Yes, the Chiefs should draft him. Maybe that's why I am not an NFL GM?
Heck, I might not want the Bears to take him at 9 but I would be thrilled if they got him.
Rumors are Cook may be available. At what cost? I feel many teams could use him.

Re: NFL Offseason 2023
Bijan, unlike CEH, is a generational talent.
Re: NFL Offseason 2023
KC has several areas of need above RB. They aren't so loaded that they can just waste a 1st round pick on a running back. Fortunately, he will be long gone before KC picks so we won't have to wonder.
Re: NFL Offseason 2023
Hilarious. Skip Bayless is the Mizzou of sports talk hosts. All style, no substance. He is an absolute clown. Looking back, Cleveland's head coach and GM were all fired after one season after they traded up to #22 to get Manziel and neither of them has ever been hired to be an NFL head coach or GM again.

Hurts gonna be highest paid player in NFL history?
lol…gotta think there’s gonna end up being some buyer’s remorse

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: NFL Offseason 2023
Wentz could have been that guy.
Re: NFL Offseason 2023
Same story as Lamar. You can't not pay him - but more likely than not it won't end well.KUTradition wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 12:25 pm Hurts gonna be highest paid player in NFL history?

Re: NFL Offseason 2023
If he stays injury free, Hurts and JD are very similar. Could be a good payday. But the odds aren't good because the reward for late hits is torpedoing a season.

but as has been discussed here before, his style of play doesn’t lend itself to any sort of longevity

The Mahomes contract just gets better and better.
Let's hope he sticks to this comment here:
"Money is one thing but when you get those Super Bowl rings at the end of your career, I think that's going to be the thing that you look back on. I think I've made enough money on the football field and off of it as well that it won't matter at the end of the day...They'll keep setting the bar even higher,'' Mahomes said. "You always want to get paid and take care of your family, but I want a great team around me as well.''

He's rolling in some good money from Adidas shoe partnership, Royals ownership piece, part owner of an Air Share, SKC, KC Current and more.
“I don’t remember anything he said, but it was a very memorable speech.” Julian Wright on a speech Michael Jordan gave to a group he was in

Re: NFL Offseason 2023
Yea, he's estimated between 7-10 million a year in sponsorships/endorsements.
He's doin' fine.
In other news, Chiefs signed Blane Gabbert.
Gross.

The more hillbilly side of the fan base will love this.
Re: NFL Offseason 2023
Every now and then I see Quentin Johnston slide in mocks down to like 26, 27.
If he's still around before the Cowboys pick at 26, I jump the Cowboys and take him with something like a 3rd/5th round swap with the Giants.
31 ( 1st ) and 95 ( 3rd ) for
25 ( 1st ) and 160 ( 5th )

Re: NFL Offseason 2023
Nope. If he still there at 31 take him but I wouldn"t give a 3rd. Man ly in the 3rd I was yelling get Pickins WR and Chiefs trade back and end up with Skyy.pdub wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 10:11 am Every now and then I see Quentin Johnston slide in mocks down to like 26, 27.

Re: NFL Offseason 2023
There are many WRs. Many. Look at the measurables not where they played.
Re: NFL Offseason 2023
You loose your low 3rd for a mid/low 5th.
I'd do that absolutely for Johnston.
I think he'd make an impact immediately.
Use your 2nd on an edge or tackle.
And you still have 2 4th rounders.
Mingo trade up in the 2nd if he was still around I would also support.
