Long story too long...
My first guess was POWER. Only letter I had was P in the wrong spot. I tried to think of 5 letter words with the letter P in them that P wasn't the first letter and had the vowel/s of A I or U. I couldn't think of anything quickly. In hind sight, SPAIN seems like it would have been an obvious choice and that was probably what I should have guessed based on the frequency of the letters S A I and N but SPAIN never came to my mind.
I don't have ESP but I do believe I think differently than "normal" and sometimes things strangely pop in my head. For some unknown reason (possibly/probably because I saw JFish's name as having made a post and he has referred to his children as guppies - OR - because I looked out my window and saw people in a boat fishing?) the word GUPPY came to mind.
I really don't get it either. I guess the bottom line is it was nothing more than bizarre blind luck.
