Ok, at least 16 hours later and the shooter still hasn't been identified. Why not?
I have read investigators needed an interpreter to speak with the suspects parents. Pubs will have a field day with that - while not saying a single fucking thing about how/why the guy was able to obtain an AR-15 (or similar weapon) and drive up to a mall and start blowing people away.

23 4+ victim shootings IN THE PAST WEEK
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Come on! That's nothing. Just ask randy.
Or heck, you don't have to ask him, I'm sure he'll be on here today to minimize it in some manner.

Jesus FUCK! And here I thought it was only 1.5 mass shootings per day? (Source?)

Don't say "politicians", don't say "congress".

It's REPUBLICANS who won't try to do ANYTHING about our national epidemic of shame and slaughter.

GTF out of the way republicans, stop letting a minority hold sway, and at least let the adults, the democrats, try.

Maybe if we armed everyone that number would magically go down...

So it's like saying if a gun is needed for self defense (I'd venture a safe guess that the number of shootings that were legitimately cases of self defense is probably near 1%) then gun ownership should be available to 100% of the people who want one.

You're right, that is stupid.

They probably need to start making the pictures public. Nothing else has even registered.

I remember they did that with the caskets returning from Vietnam. Changed society's perspective 180°.

wasn’t tv airing of Vietnam fighting one of the major things to sway public opinion?

Absolutely! It was America's first televised war.

At first, the various media correspondents regurgitated the Dept. of Defense' lines, but as it continued, some of them couldn't deny what they were seeing any longer and started reporting the truth. That was the beginning of the end. imo.

Jonathan Capehart's interview was much longer than this, but I can't find a longer version yet. It included what you posted jfish, and more. His son was at the mall sheltering in place and called him because 911 was swamped and he couldn't get thru. This guy lives close and said when he arrived he was one of the only people on the scene outside where the bodies were. In addition to what your tweet reports, there was also a little boy trapped under his mother's body, if I recall, that he ushered away, and he covered the blood-covered bodies with sheets.

But sure, thoughts and prayers...

Not the same interview, but same guy. A former police officer, and former army officer.

It's up to congress and just like immigration, republicans won't allow anything to be done about it, stupid.
