Smart hit the long one though. A second late. Never figured he would translate to the NBA as well as he has

6ers win by 3
Suns win by 4

Which of course means the Celts and Nuggs will win.
Lol. Celtics and nuggets are gonna win today
Nope

Will Joker (BAIT ALERT - the best Center in the NBA according to Shaq - and my guess is many others) be suspended? I'm at about 50/50.

If you only looked at this I think most people would probably say no doubt.

If you look at the entire incident I think most people would probably say I don't think so.

I don't quite get why players can be adamant at random times to get the ball so quickly.
The clock is stopped. In this case, it's only the 2nd quarter. And you're winning.

The Denver news maybe made a point, but they’re maybe homers too:

If it was not the owner but any other fan in the stands refusing to give up the ball, they’d be promptly tossed, wouldn’t they?

Eh.
Watching in real time the owner didn't really have the ball that long enough for me to consider them refusing to give it up.
Jokic rushes over pretty much right when the owner has it and reaches out to grab it.

If Jokic had asked for the ball and THEN the owner didn't give it to him and THEN Jokic reached out for it, i'd fully support that owner* being kicked out.

*But now that I remember who the owner of the Suns is, redact that, fuck him.

I could be mistaken but I believe it's up to the refs and stadium security to use their discretion.
In this case, as pdub kind of pointed out * EDIT (in his post at 7:51am and his post after that), it's not as if Ishbia really did anything wrong in regards to holding the ball. Clock/play was stopped. Rule 8 section III A. "The throw-in starts when the ball is given to the player entitled to the throw-in". Vague but I believe that means either the ref has to physically hand the ball to the player and/or the ref has to say when the player is allowed to throw the ball in play. Clearly the players were not ready when Jokic tried to grab the ball from Ishbia.

The fan who directly reached out at touched Jokic at the end was tossed from the facility. The Suns owner really didn't so I don't see why he would have been removed. As for Jokic, he should be suspended for what he did. There was zero reason for him to do what he did. You cannot physically interact with fans in the stands, no matter what. Fighting over a loose play with a fan after the whistle is uncalled for. Don't be a fucking meathead.

I kinda side with twocoach here.
Not sure what Jokic's intent here was ( i mean, yes, get the ball, but why do you need to go into the crowd to do so ).

It was entirely unnecessary. The ball has to go to the ref before he can throw it in anyways to ensure substitutions are allowed etc... You can't just go run over and throw the ball in real quick to catch opponents off guard like this is a soccer game. There's zero justification for Jokic's behavior.

8 years ago today.

Here is the crazy thing to me......

Three guys in this photo standing (one guy crouching) next to each other in the stands.
One guy is now an NBA Champion, one guy is now the CEO of an NBA team, the third guy is still a loser and is making this post.

Embarrassingly, I will say - yes.
About the 47 second mark of the video you can see me more clearly.
