can’t wait to watch the local news media loose their collective minds
I'm curious to know how so, because I know nearly nothing about the case.

(I'm not so curious about the details of the case, but not sure how you expect the media to react, and why. If you don't mind.)

it’s an overtly big deal here, particularly with KSL, because of the local connections and religion aspect (both used to be LDS)

local newscasters come across as…giddy, for lack of a better term, any time there has been any sort of update on this case

giddy maybe has too much of a positive connotation, but i think you get the point

In all fairness, I'm struggling to name something I wouldn't do for $450,000 per month for six years, that doesn't even require that I leave home.

Also, in fairness, I'm struggling to name something I wouldn't do to get rid of the fucking timeshares bequeathed to me (and my sibs). A more loathsome industry never existed.

That's too bad. They've never been my thing. My siblings and I inherited one ~ 3 years ago but got a chance to let it pass to another relative, and took it.

What if heaven was only attainable by an altruistic society living by Christian principles? But deferred thru 100 generations of scientific progress which got humanity to time travel and agelessness?
Or Providence could reward bigots immediately with a nice magical vacation.

Does anyone know exactly what Jehovahs Witnesses believe what happens after Armageddon?

I’m trying to read about it and get clarity.

So Armageddon happens. Non believers see ya. Earth cleansed.

144,000 souls get to be in Heaven eventually.

Now—do all believers get to have 1,000 years on new clean Earth to try and make that 144,000 cut? Or are they already up there when this 1,000 years starts. What happens after the 1,000 years? Is the 144,000 already spoken for but I can like bump someone out if I’m good enough?

Dude I work with is a Jehovahs Witness. He's totally cool about it. Keeps to himself in regards to his religion but is happy to talk about it if you ask him. I'm off work until Tuesday but can email him your question if you would like. Let me know.

Side note. Here is a shitty thing. Maybe not to him but I feel it's shitty (in an "unfortunate" way).
He doesn't celebrate birthdays. If as a group we say we are going out to/for lunch/dinner/drinks for someone's birthday, he won't join us. That's not a huge deal but it would be nice if he would join us.
Moving on.... At work we receive two bonuses per year. A "small" one in December and a "large" one in March. We have a company party in December. Well, the December bonus and party were often referred to as the Christmas bonus and Christmas party. He refuses to acknowledge nor celebrate anything Christmas. Here is where is gets funky to me.... He would accept the bonus :D but refused to attend the party. :?
