What will they do? I don't know.
Minus 2001, what they have been doing for the last 40 years hasn't worked.

Here is the question. Are Jokic AND Murray as a duo > AD AND LeBron as a duo? I don't think so but wtf do I know?japhy wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 11:47 am I think what impresses me most about Jokic is that no matter what the defense throws at the guy he never gets flustered. He is slow and methodical and it disguises the fact that his brain seems to be a couple of steps ahead of everyone else on the floor. His moves do not look athletic but his balls skills are incredible. He can shoot from any spot on the floor in any position and make the shot. The fact that other players are more athletic and quick and graceful makes them seem like better ball players at times. But the box score don't lie.
The matchup between he and AD in the next round should be fun to watch. Jokic is ploddingly relentless. AD likes to take plays off during a game.
I think Jokic and Murray better by virtue of Jokic being the best player on the floor by a good margin. On paper the rosters match up well. It really will come down to which team plays hardest for the whole game and who gets shots to drop consistently. AD disappears for stretches even when he is on the floor. If that happens Denver wins.RainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 12:20 pmHere is the question. Are Jokic AND Murray as a duo > AD AND LeBron as a duo? AD is glass. I figure there is zero chance he makes it out of the Western Finals without an "injury". That happens, the Lakers are done.
Don't forget Embiid was injured for this round of playoffs, playing through what was supposed to take a month to heal.Back2Lawrence wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 9:16 am Sorry, Jokic should have won 3rd consecutive MVP.
76ers with Embiid this year: 43-23 vs 11-5 without. (slightly better win percentage without)
Nuggets with Jokic this year: 48-21 vs 5-8 without. (way worse win percentage without)
Isn't that what an MVP is supposed to measure.
By the NBA metric, KU would have gone to the Sweet 16 in his one year here, improving us by exactly 1 game.
I know it's an oversimplification, but for as awesome as he is, meh. I hope he wins 5 'ships in a row. Wait, no I don't. Philly fans are insufferable already.
