My guess is that this would be Self's first choice as well. It will be interesting to see who withdraws from the draft prior to the May 31st 11:59pm deadline.

Regarding Udeh and dook, (and…Love? And Michigan), when shopping around for transfers, don’t you think grades/academic standing would be like the first thing a school considers?

massive news from KM
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Feels like our starters are set. And when we rotate we get smaller and bring in arterio, elmarko, etc

Slide mccullar to the 4, kj to the 5, as needed

I'll eat some crow on this one. I was on the record as saying I'd believe it when I see it in regards to McCullar coming back. This is awesome! Still got one more scholarship to fill, let's see where Self uses it.

I’m worried about our own accuracy. Not going to be a lot of shooting on the floor…

And just like that, KU returns three starters, all three of whom are excellent defenders. Huge pick up.

Timberlake and Dickinson can both shoot. Harris should be putting up 1,000 shots a day so I expect he will improve and I am sure that the NBA folks told McCullar that he isn't playing in the NBA without improving his three point accuracy so I expect he'll be having a Jalen Wilson-type summer of work.

2 million dollar man can shoot the 3 ( and from all over the court ).
Timberlake can really shoot the 3.
If McCullar can improve to 33-34% that'll work.
Dajuan, while his shot is ugly as hell, shot around 41% last season - if he keeps it there with more attempts.

And then there's KJ...he wasn't really green lit to shoot a lot but can he?
Not talking 3's but 15 foot pull up kinda stuff.

We started to see it last year so my guess is that it is the focus of his offseason workouts. I wouldn't be surprised to see KJ getting up a few more midrange jumpers next year.

Dajuan, mccullar, kj, and Dickinson are locks to start

Id assume Timberlake gets the last spot. Hes good, and we need his shooting in the lineup.

But that could be the one position battle, arterio will be tough to beat out. And freshman elmarko has high potential once he gets adjusted

It will be interesting to see who earns that spot. Nice to have 3 really good options for your 5th starter slot. Yeesh, KU is loaded for next year; I hope they can gel and get it figured out.

Last season, Timberlake shot 1 more 3 per game than anyone on our roster.
And he shot a better percentage from 3 than anyone on our roster ( not counting Cam Martin's lone attempt ).

The quality of competition will increase but he also has an offseason and even if it decreases some, it would likely be in the Gradey Dick neighborhood of 39-40% which will work just fine.
