After record inflation, prices have not gone back down, but continue to increase, although no longer at record pace, but still increasing steadily

DSM-III was published in 1980 and then significantly altered in 1987. DSM-IV was published in 1994 and then revised in 2000. DSM-5 was published in 2013. And then there are different countries that work off of a different list, the International Classification of Diseases which has also revised and expanded its classification of autism over the years.

Then you have to factor in the changes in health insurance in response to these things. As autism has expanded, so has coverage of it and as coverage of it expands, so has many parent's push to have their children formally diagnosed so that their treatment can be covered by their insurance.

Oh, and here's the current list of vaccines recommended by the CDC for kids aged 0-18:
