I said it a few times, fish. Some of the knob heads here thought I was illy as I am in the school of ‘yeah I know this is a KU safe zone, but the endless KU does no wrong’ type posts are not my MO, as I’d rather call a turd a turd.

Whatever though. They are knob heads, after all.

The Nick Mercs 'drama' is something else right now. For those of you that don't know, he's a very popular streamer. A demonstration of the crazy that we are as a society right now, IMO. Not him (he's a meathead, mostly, or that's his schtick)...If you are unaware of this 'story', I'll leave it to you to do your own research.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Diablo 4 is boring AF. A regular old dungeon crawler with nothing interesting or unique about it at all. It is failing to keep my attention whatsoever. So far it is a waste of money.

I’m loving it.
But I love all the Diablo games.
It feels closer to Diablo II than III which is a good thing.
Upset they eliminated the roll/evade.
The skill tree looks fantastic and there look to be endless builds.

It’s doing well on review sites by critics but is getting review bombed by users because of its monetization. For me, I’m not hardcore enough of a gamer to care if I can’t get a cool looking suit of armor for my horse. I guess they are also pissed about level scaling which lets a low level character compete with a high if they join the same online game. I for one don’t like that in theory but I only play online with my brother so don’t matter.

I’m also a casual gamer so really good art and music go a long way. I hated Elden Ring. Beautiful game but no difficulty setting made it way too hard and I don’t play enough video games to care. It is collecting dust.

Yeah, that looks good. I hope it’s not just marketing goodness. Unfortunately, that’s a lot of what happens with AAA+ devs anymore.

Just wish it was on PS5. I would have to play it on my laptop, which isn't a gaming PC. We'll see what the specs on it call for.

The entire leveling system is a waste of time. Every time the player "levels up" every bad guy in the game levels up. There appears to be zero significance of the process at all as it never changes your strength relative to the NPCs you fight. So dumb.

The game might be beautiful but everything is so tiny that you really cannot see it.

I can see it.
Get a bigger TV.

I am not a fan of level scaling if you are playing single player in the main campaign - so I'm with you there.

I guess the theory is you can go and play zones you liked and still get max treasure there instead of before where you’d go back, slaughter weaker enemies, but get shittier drops. I still preferred the latter but I kinda see their reasoning. I’m hoping the devs update this so that it’s either not on single player at all or an option to turn on and off.

Anywhere else, i.e playing Adventure mode or playing online ( or I guess now what's called skip Campaign ) it should ( and has ) level scale.

As a PC nerd, I wish more games got rid of console pleebs. Inevitably, things such as Aim Assist are given to controllers, or certain input devices have an unfair advantage over one another. In a lot of ways, gaming was way better before cross-play.

It would be optimal if they gave users an opt-in option where you have to choose to play in a cross-platform environment and if you do not then you play in an environment against only those on the same platform.

If I need bigger than a 65" TV to see the artwork well then it means they just built it for PC gamers who have 36"+ monitors 2 feet from their face.

I am liking it more as I play it more. Getting the abilities and how to set and use them figured out helped a ton. I am maybe Lvl 32 or so now, not that it matters... but finally expanding out enough to run into a decent number of additional quests and stories. So it's getting interesting now.

My custom arcade arrived today so I'll be spending whatever free time I have putting that together. Gonna pop the box open at lunch time to see how my custom KU graphics came out.

Diablo 4 experiencing a DDoS attack. All servers are down.

Guess I can't run around smashing monsters so I can get better gear that makes no difference since every opponent in the game levels up whenever I do. There is no point to this game at all.

Reason #5,287 why online games built just to get you to spend your money on Add-On content suck.
