Uncle Joe
Re: Uncle Joe
Trump back on 8/11/16, before Mexico paid for the wall:
“We’re gonna win so much! We’re gonna win at every level. We’re gonna win with the economy. We’re gonna win with military. We’re gonna win with health care and for our veterans. We’re gonna win with every single facet!”
“We’re gonna win SO MUCH, you may even get tired of winning…”
“And, you’ll say, ‘Please, please, it’s too much winning! We can’t take it anymore, Mr. President. It’s too much!’ And, I’ll say ‘No, IT ISN’T! We have to keep winning! We have to win more!’”
Meanwhile, back on planet earth... While many have and still are predicting a recession, there are a number of signs to the contrary. But, keep in mind, with the economy performing this strongly, it could force the FED to raise rates higher. I heard this morning that the inflation rate in the UK is 8.7%, ~ twice the inflation rate here.
The S&P 500 is up 15% year to date, and up 5 weeks in a row for the first time since 2021. The S&P has only been up 15% or higher in the first half of the year 10 times, and of those 10 times the second half of those years the S&P closed higher 10 out of 10 times, with an average gain of 23% for the year.
NASDAQ extends win streak for 8th week, longest since 2019.
And on top of that, Housing starts surprised to the upside this morning, hugely:

The only argument you’ll get from me is the use of “at this point”. Other than that, spot on. Trump has been this way always. He was in 2015 and he is now.TDub wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 8:03 am Anybody voting for trump at this point is only doing so because A. hes a republican or B. hes not Joe Biden
he has no policy to vote for or against...he just lathers himself into a frothy mouthed frenzy and whips up his people into a fever with lies and hate.
You might like what he says or hate what he says....he doesn't care. His only policy is protecting himself and making himself richer. He has no governmental policies or stances.
Re: Uncle Joe
I was gonna say folks might still vote for Trump cuz they dig the overt racism and misogyny, but maybe that’s already covered under option “A”

Seriously though, at least from my side, while I have vehement disagreements about policy issues with him I hold no personal animosity, nor do I question his sincerity.

We interrupt the cage-match between Bobo and MTG to see who can impeach the "Biden Crime Family" first, to report: Two lanes, in each direction, this weekend?
NO WAY! Because:
Today In: Projection! Republicans have been saying for the last 45 years: "Government Doesn't Work!"

Issue based voters (gunz and abortion) are going to vote for the Devil if he has (R) after his name, no matter how much they have to hold their nose when they do it.TDub wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 8:03 am Anybody voting for trump at this point is only doing so because A. hes a republican or B. hes not Joe Biden

And yeah yeah, "hypocrite, the Dems are no different..." Biden is old and some of his policies aren't as reflective of my opinions as I would like but he isn't a fundamentally vile human who has made a living from ripping off American workers and cheating the government his whole adult life while having settled dozens of rape/sexual assault cases, some of which involved underage women, and sealed the agreements from the public eye with NDAs. So spare me on that BS.
Re: Uncle Joe
Ha! Biden policy, old or young: Build back better. Campaign reform. Student debt relief. Bolster NATO and Ukraine. Improve jobless figures and help spread prosperity with green energy jobs. Protect SSA, bolster the IRS, combat inflation. Done well.
Re: Uncle Joe
Can't believe Joe would be so callous. If republicans weren't already impeaching him, I would!

Biden has been compromised and paid for. Completely corrupt. I've been saying it for years. Having him in office makes a complete joke out of this country.
This is the man yall voted for??
