He dead. I guess if someone had to be shot and die/be killed it's better him than someone else.
Again, I sure wish I knew how/why the guy was able to own/possess guns when he had been visited numerous times (including by the Secret Service) for threatening to kill the President, Mayor, and others.

Real Americans can take comfort knowing that despite all the episodes and events leading up to his untimely death, this man's 2nd Amendment, God-given rights, were never violated!

Is this a great country, or what!?

BINGO!
I feel this fucker should NOT have been in possession of firearms. Period - but that brings me to my confusion/conundrum.
At what point do "we" address that too often rights outweigh the safety and well being of Americans and become a major factor in OTHER INNOCENT people UNNECESSARILY getting killed because of those rights - and what are the differences between rights and laws and how do "we" decide to choose to monitor and "police" those rights and laws?

National News.....

Not National News....

Doesn't really matter to me what does and doesn't make the national news.
What matters to me is it's a never ending way too frequent/common occurrence.

The Democratic governor’s proposal would raise the federal minimum age to buy a firearm to 21 from 18; mandate universal background checks; institute a “reasonable” waiting period for all gun purchases and ban assault rifles nationally.

I think it is time to put our well regulated militia's guns in a guarded armory. Too many dicks on the dance floor

Wow! Yay!

The tweet underneath that, by the same author:

One of the next big challenges for school administrators everywhere is going to be maintaining liability insurance.

A mass shooting on campus causes billions of dollars in liability. Without meaningful action to prevent school shootings, insurers may decide schools are uninsurable. Inversely, taking reckless actions like arming teachers can increase risk causing insurance policies to be dropped.

As shooting victims at Michigan State file lawsuits relating to the failure of MSU to provide basic campus security, inaction is also not an option.

Yep. Looking forward to the pubs declaring those notoriously progressive organizations - insurance companies - to be too woke.

Living in Florida, where "woke comes to die", I have no idea what you're talking about. But, I know that republicans are Christians, so I know it must be good...

Looks like someone’s idea of involving insurance companies in this fight from a few pages ago seems to be getting traction, but not quite as originally proposed. Let’s hope small victories magnify themselves
