Re: Dogs

I know we’ve talked about this before, and I hope I don’t get shit for it, buuut…
What’s the best way to deal with an aggressive dog running at large on a public trail
and a dog owner who, when confronted about said aggressive dog, only keeps defiantly doubling down like “but there ain’t no leash laws round here”
?
Ideally without getting the law involved
or taking measures to, uh, neutralize the threat of the dog…

The trials and tribulations of Being Ousdahl remind me of (Wallace) Sayre's Law:
"In any dispute the intensity of feeling is inversely proportional to the value of the stakes at issue—that is why academic politics are so bitter."

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

seems absurd. on one hand, kinda makes me want to find another vet - on the other, i guess it’s a good thing that my current vet is so popular
