With a bong, a pillow, and a big bag of Dorito's, on a couch?

Vick played over 30 minutes and only had 3 points? Ouch...

I'll get my highlights in this thread.

Also Elam ending sucks.
It was fine for a close game like this that means nothing but overall yeah, it sucks. I would be curious to see how many late game comebacks that KU has had would have been possible if they had the Elam ending in place.

2012 Title game. We just ran out of time.

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Come on pdub, Elam was cool, at least in that particular scenario.

Elam is fun. It's different. In some ways you could argue its better. You have to actually win the game, you can't so bullshit like running the time out or playing the free throw game

Elam makes it all about getting stops and getting buckets

It's like real pick up basketball

I’m sure it’s fun for gimmick tournaments and All Star games.

It shouldn’t come near CBB or actual NBA games.

Elam ending sucks. Pure gimmick and can't be taken seriously.

I think pdub and tdub never played competitive pick up. If they don't like Elam

competitive pick up is not the same as Division 1 sports and professional sports.

Yea I don't think first to 21 counts. But you're super in tune and I'm sure a Rucker park legend so, I'm sure zim wrong.

Also, with absolutely 0 way of proving it either way, I'd wager that I've played more pick up than you and most likely 90% of the population and 96.8% of the posters here.

You're talking about a tourney played by teams that have barely even practiced and don't have a real coach so it's not exactly built for traditional late-game maneuvers.

I saw an interview with Nick Elam for whom it is named. He researched 2000 NBA and college games and found that teams that foul to extend the game won 1.5% of the time. I prefer the Elam ending to taking 20 to 30 minutes to play the last 2 or 3 minutes of clock time. The "intentional foul" to stop the clock at the end of a game gets old. It is obviously intentional but never called as such. Play defense and score buckets if you want to win.

sure...which doesn't contradict anything that I said. It's fine for this application.

Exactly. Its real basketball. Guys making real plays. Like you get in heated pick up games. Tough basketball.

Not this soft shit. Running out the clock, trying to draw fouls. Boring

I’ve played 21.
It’s fun.
It’s for terrible basketball players like me and randy.
