Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

so, with elon’s approval, tesla deliberately exaggerated cars’ driving ranges
then, customers had service appointments canceled when they complained

…but if you wanna see the REAL fraud in this country, try paying for cigs with a fake $20 bill.
Re: Facebook, Google, et al
For real tho, Elon might be onto something with this “X” rebranding.
For instance, him and his goons have been investing a lot into making X’s video steaming a superior product in the industry.

Musk and Trump's base are such odd bedfellows. Who knew they'd be made for each other?KUTradition wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 12:21 pm like so many of his supporters, such a snowflake

When you realize it comes from the same overprivileged, underconsequenced egocentrism, it's really not so odd at all.

On this week's unfiltered video version of Prof G Markets, Scott shares his thoughts on Twitter rebranding as “X,” and takes us through some of the best and worst branding moves in corporate history.

Man.
Once upon a time, you could get on the tweeter, do a search for e.g. “Trump,” and get top headlines and updates about the topic in question in a serviceably journalistic way.
Now, the same search yields, “Trump is NOT guilty!” “Wake up for Trump!” “Indict him 1000 times 45 is still gonna he 47!”

Re: Facebook, Google, et al
I have an old friend that is not right in the head to the point where he makes me look normal.
Nice guy but way "off".
Anyways, I guess it's my fault and shame on me for posting shit on Facebook or Instagram or Twitter but the guy feels the need to shit on much of what I post.
Meaning, he needs to comment - in an embarrassing manner. I don't mind if he embarrasses himself but it embarrasses me. I have respectfully told him I have friends, family members, and co-workers who see my posts and have asked me about him and how/why I am friends with him because they feel his comments are childish, foolish, and inappropriate.
The fucker did it again this morning and it was the straw that broke my back.
I have "deleted" him as a "friend" on my social media accounts and now I am awaiting some bizarre message from him.
Point of my sharing that is..... He's a married guy with kids who has a respectable job and I am wondering why would anyone want to continuously embarrass themself but more importantly, represent themself in a manner that embarrasses their friends and family members?
I guess I can answer that by what I originally said, "I have an old friend that is not right in the head". "Nice guy but way "off".
