Agree completely. Dickinson got by with a lot by virtue of playing in a low-performing Michigan program. KU is a different level altogether, and he is going to have to get stronger and faster to compete.twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 12:26 pmIt's the thing that most leads me to believe we may see him in Lawrence for 2 seasons. He is definitely going to have a reality check as to how fast Self wants things to move.
Morris and McCullar have been excellent and KJ and Harris have been great. Gonna be a fun season and a really good team by the time Big 12 play gets rolling.

He's been very aggressive with the ball on the perimeter. His dribbling and movement has gotten MUCH better.

I think he looks more athletic. Which is just nuts. He was needing to kind of duck his head while drinking to avoid hitting his head.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 12:43 pmHe's been very aggressive with the ball on the perimeter. His dribbling and movement has gotten MUCH better.

I think he's always been slow. But he's crafty, can shoot and has the size to be able to hold his own. Still had 13 and 9 or whatever it was. And he struggled a ton.

so fucking predictable
it’s one [exhibition] game, but do enjoy your victory lap
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: Puerto Rico
Not sure about victory lap. He had what, 6 turnovers?KUTradition wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 2:07 pmrandylahey wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 1:15 pmYep. I remember several people trying to argue the freshman would be ahead of him... lol

Not worried about the offensive end - moreso the defensive end and guarding pick and rolls and getting to rebounds.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 2:02 pmI think he's always been slow. Re: Puerto Rico
Hunter being slow is why he stuck around looking to get paid in college. We knew he's not a great athlete. If he was he wouldn't be here (nba)
Re: Puerto Rico
It will take awhile for this group to gel, but showing serious team speed. When they tighten up passing and defense - look out!
Re: Puerto Rico
Lots of talent and athleticism. Not a soil judge in sight.

Several NBA players on the Bahamian National team...should be an interesting couple of games.
