I didn't watch them last night ( 3 AM no thank you ).
The first two games they certainly didn't look like the best team in the world.
I guess they were maybe even worse, from reports, vs Portugal.

That's three games they've played like shit.

They have some of the best players in the world bc of the $$ the US ( mainly investors ) puts into the league...they just aren't playing well as a unit.

I'm half joking. But they have not been good. They're a group that seems like they've never played together. While teams from other countries have much greater chemistry, but less talent. We have great talent, but crap chemistry.

I think certain members of the USWNT used the protections of the fear to speak against women to manipulate a public and organization to submit to something that wasn't actually fair, at all, and was just a way to get more out of their previous agreement which paid players in the general pool rather than pay for play.

Rapinoe led a lot of the charge -- there really wasn't unfair pay at the US level -- the 'unfair' ( not same amount ) pay was largely a result of FIFA payment differences in the World Cup. And blame that on viewership and popularity.

It pitted the USMNT vs the UMWNT and the USMNT were man enough to say, ok, whatever, take our money.

I'm glad Rapinoe is gone and blew it -- ( and god, she was laughing after she shanked it to the moon, fuck that shit ) but was sad to see them, as a team, loose to Sweden, and am hopeful for their future.
