This needs to be a bigger deal. Especially the acquiescence of all the other republican leaders allowing him to get away with it.

From the article: "Many of the patients who had their private medical information shared with Skrmetti's office are state workers, or their adult children or spouses; others are on TennCare, the state’s Medicaid plan; & some were not even patients at VUMC's clinic...

Yet the Randy and Mich of the world just continue to go on about the "widely known and available proof" of Biden accepting a bribe.

I am a "I'll believe it when I see it" person and I haven't seen anything yet. So far, I've seen that Hunter does business the same way that the Trump children do business, by having a famous and well-connected father and selling the notion that this is worth something.

But who knows, maybe all this digging will eventually dig something up. We'll see.

It is a never-ending wonder how republicans can tolerate their own hypocrisy.

It has to get old. Right?

I recall all the pain they endured when John Kerry had the gall to be "for it, before he was against it", the Iraq war. Republicans were so consumed with outrage, it was difficult to watch them suffer so.

I searched but couldn't find the previous post about this.

Very glad to see that the KBI is looking into the raid on The Marion County Register newspaper by the police, because the police chief was under investigation by the paper.

The top prosecutor in Marion County, Kan., said on Wednesday that there was not sufficient evidence to support a raid on a local newspaper last week, and that all of the devices and materials obtained in the search would be returned.

Joel Ensey, the Marion County attorney, said in a statement that, in light of the insufficient evidence, he directed local law enforcement to return the seized material.

Police officers and county sheriff’s deputies searched the newspaper’s office, the home of its owner and editor and the home of a city councilwoman on Friday — collecting computers, cellphones and other materials. It is extremely rare for law enforcement authorities in the United States to search and seize the tools to produce journalism.

The searches were part of an investigation into how The Record obtained and handled a document containing information about a local restaurateur — and whether the restaurant owner’s privacy was violated in the process. The episode threw a national spotlight on Marion, a town of about 2,000 people located an hour north of Wichita...

Trump's cabinet in his next administration will hit the ground running:
