I hate to speak in absolutes, but I think it is safe to say that making a lot of money as an entrepreneur and being a "goofball idiot" are fairly mutually exclusive. Is it at all possible that people can disagree with you and/or see the world differently and not be "goofball idiots"? Just a thought.

I think your last sentence is valid. We all - well, most of us - grow out of our inexperience and self-absorption, but I would argue that this is not the same as being an idiot, if your definition is a measure of intelligence. If it is a measure of good judgment, then I'd tend to agree with you.
