No one on the left wants to do nothing. That’s your side’s deal; it’s never the right time to talk about guns.
No one serious on the left wants to “seize guns” either. But of course it’s very important that that straw man stay out there for ya.

Did it need to be?
He considers trans people mentally ill.
He is in favor of forced institutionalization of mentally ill people.
It’s not hard to pick up what he’s laying down. Particularly when he attaches faith-based approaches to the “institutionalize the mentally ill” plan.

Trump said don't believe your eyes and ears, only believe what I tell you, and rando swallowed it.
Defense. Rebounds.
Re: Tucker Carlson
This was the single most predictable outcome of last night. trump and Tucker don't really care if anyone watched them slobber on each other's knobs, it was all about numbers that they could post on the internet the next day for VINDICATION! In the meantime they knew the rubes were going to lap that slop up because they are VINDICATED when their Emperor God is VINDICATED!
For a bunch that likes to say they are not sheeple, they do spend a lot of time trying to convince everyone else that they are part of a vast number of followers. One of many many ironies in their belief system.

It's easy for you to assume dumb shit. You've mastered the act. Did vivek say he was gonna go door to door locking up anyone deemed mentally ill? No.jfish26 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 10:48 am Did it need to be?

In the most charitable possible interpretation of what Vivek said out loud, he is letting people who want trans people locked up think he’s their guy.

I've never heard a single person before say anything about locking trans people up. This is your delusion. If someone wants to be trans, go be trans. Just don't demand people play along with your delusional. They are going to still recognize your original genderjfish26 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 10:57 amBut think about what you’re saying.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 10:54 amIt's easy for you to assume dumb shit. Just keep your ideas away from our kids. That's all anyone wants. Stop pushing weird propaganda on children who are still trying to develop and learn about the world. Don't confuse kids who otherwise wouldn't be

Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Again, the MOST charitable way to interpret the words Vivek said out loud in his job interview is that he is open to institutionalizing trans people.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 11:02 amI've never heard a single person before say anything about locking trans people up. Maybe that’s not how he actually feels. But if one wanted to hear it, one could hear it. And he knows that - he is CLEARLY an excellent orator. He does not get to hide behind any sort of ambiguity.
He is courting the same scum that Trump courted. On this issue and so many others. The fact that he’s a little more Model UN Try-Hard about it doesn’t make it better; in a way it makes it much scarier.

Once Vivek gets to that 25% mark, Trump will VP him, and with Trumps (alleged) 75%....there is no point in even having an election.

I think Vivek’s strategy is to spend the first part of the cycle getting in Trump’s good graces (so as to get the VP slot), and then be there to step into the big chair if, one way or the other, Trump is forced off the board.Overlander wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 11:16 am Once Vivek gets to that 25% mark, Trump will VP him, and with Trumps (alleged) 75%....there is no point in even having an election.

The question was about gun violence

You might be the only person on the planet that got that out of a question about gun violence where no mention of trans people was in either the question or response
