Just finished season one and the final 10-15 minutes someone was definitely cutting onions somewhere in my house.

I watched the 1st two episodes of this and lost track of it. May need to pick it up again.

It takes a bit to develop - they let the details unfold without force feeding you.
By episode 4, I was all the way in.

Found a rerun of Julia Child and Jaques Pepain on the teevee. Julia announces we are making a traditional Mediterranean fish soup. I'm convinced you can make this anywhere in the country, even. Kansas City.

To me, soup is disappointing enough without fish in it.

Look for this show's second season when the Emmy's come a knockin'.
Tough competition going against Succession's final season tho.

Having some back issues so I've spent the last couple of days horizontal, looking for a movie/s. Ran across Catch 22 and had to watch it. I had forgotten how funny it is.

I liked the miniseries length better.

But the movie's portrayal of the characters was much better. The miniseries made the characters seem... sane? Especially Yossarian, which didn't seem right. Arkin and Perkins were fantastic.

I loved the book so much that we named our first dog Yossi.

Hope you're back on your feet soon!

Second season is like a completely different show. Less stressful, more artsy and much deeper. It's great. Also liked my town being in one of the episodes - I had no idea people had to go to our post office to drop off liquor licenses.

for sure.

I'm usually a season behind though. I just got through the labrador season this summer. I was excited for it because that's a great location. But, it was a fairly disappointing season all in all.

Still stressful, but like 25% of the time, instead of 75% of the time. Except the Christmas episode, yes, which was just brilliant.

I agree, great location, not as interesting a series.

Glad they got away from Vancouver Island, it was way too vertical and wet, imo.

I'm always behind too, so wouldn't want to discuss anything episode to episode here, without "Spoiler" alerts.
