Re: Tucker Carlson
Do you understand what the phrase "involuntary commitment" means?randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 12:20 pmYou must be the bigot. Nobody else is deriving that from anything he said
And you are aware of the long history of police officers inaccurately reporting that someone was "violent" so that they could treat them with disregard and arrest them without true cause? And how it has been used over and over to detain and arrest people who should not have been, thus violating their precious rights as citizens that Republicans claim are so dear to them?
Re: Tucker Carlson
All you have to do to be guilty of a "violent crime" is to pull your arm away from a police officer who unjustly takes hold of it, even if you had your back turned and didn't recognize that it was a police officer. If you bump them in the process, you are now also guilty of assaulting an officer.randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 12:12 pmNobody's locking trans people up you fucking moron. Unlessss, they commit violent crimesjfish26 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 12:06 pmBut they’re not separate, man! Not in Vivek’s own words!randylahey wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 11:58 am The most charitable thing would be for you to stop talking because you are linking completely separate statements and pretending someone said something they never did
Again, Vivek is very very very good with words. If he did not want to link trans issues to crime issues, he wouldn’t put them under the same mental health umbrella.
He knows what he’s doing, and you’re too distracted by shiny objects to see the play.
Being trans is not a crime
Re: Tucker Carlson
Right. Will there be a stated policy that trans = insane asylum? No.
But when you establish that trans is a mental illness, and you establish that what you do with some mentally ill people is stick them in insane asylums, you're leaving a TON of room for itchy prosecutors/officials to, with a given set of facts, do some very evil shit.
This is why words matter.
Lump trans in with other "mental illnesses", and pursue "involuntary commitment"* as something you do with some people who are mentally ill, and bad things will happen to trans people and/or people who provide services to them.
* That this "involuntary commitment" would include "faith-based" programming is a screeching, blaring, wailing red siren.

i thought it was well-known that conversion therapy was a hoax (and most often has done more harm than good)
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

Re: Tucker Carlson
Tucker has requested an interview with putin. That would be pretty epic for the American people to get an unfiltered interview of putin and his views on this whole ukraine/russia/us situation

When in reality there is a ton of corrupt shit going on between the US/Ukraine and has been for awhile. Especially when you get into bribe money given to biden, foreign aid, Cia interference in ukrainian government, and us biolabs in Ukraine
Re: Tucker Carlson
I would expect every national reporter on every network to have "requested an interview with Putin" and I think they should be fired and blackballed from the profession if they have not.randylahey wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 4:12 pm Tucker has requested an interview with putin. And for the record, if Tucker Carlson did interview Putin, that would be great. I'd obviously rather have the interview be done by a competent reporter than such a cheesy huckster with zero integrity or talent for the true profession of news reporting but any time the US government and intelligence agencies get an opportunity like that, you'd be foolish not to take it. Those who would be fooled have already been fooled. There is a lot to be learned by what lies he is willing to say on such a stage. I don't care who gets the interview, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Again, spreading disinformation. Putin has thousands of people. His time is nearly over. Tucker's already is. He is a dead-eyed sycophant of evil. Hell of a resume.

You're an American. You don't know shit about Putin or Russia. If you don't think/know "Russia bad" then you are even dumber than I thought.randylahey wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 6:35 pmThe American people are. They don't know shit about putin or Russia. There has been and probably still is corrupt shit going on between the USA and Russia too.
Ukraine BLAH BLAH BLAH. Yes, the USA/Biden is in bed with Ukraine/Zelenskyy. Yes, there is probably some bullshit and scummy things going on. It's not wrong to be outraged if true but of all people, you want PUTIN to chime in on it and you trust him to be truthful? VGR! WTF is the matter with you?
"UNFILTERD"!!!
You really are an ignoramus.
