I registered my kids for school using the address of a vacant lot once. Schools are forgiving. Insurance companies on the other hand are in business to "not" pay claims. Proceed with caution and read anything you sign.

I’m not doing it for myself.

My landlord is bugging me to put his kid’s name on my PO box up here so I can receive the registration, cuz he’s trying to register a car to his second home address, in his kid’s name.

Is it ok to at least ask why the landlord is avoiding registration at his actual residence?

Just tell them you are not comfortable doing that.

Insurance fraud or tax fraud, either one, you don't really want to know do you?

If they press you, "I had a friend once who did something like this and got in a shit pile of trouble after a car wreck and I don't want to talk about it".

I worked for a guy, about 20 years ago, that brought a C63 Benz to my store with a friend of his.
I was instructed by my boss to store the car in our boat storage facility until "the bank stops looking for it".

This is fucked up.

SEEMS this kid was "troubled" before this happened. As horrible as it is that two people were killed, I have a bad feeling if it didn't happen, eventually it could have been even worse.

A girl (now woman) I grew up with knew these people well. This was what she wrote.

I just have no words… Jennifer Rottweilerlove Tower and her husband Rob have always been the most kindest people in the world - this is just so devastating for our community that all care for them both so much - this is unfathomable and my love, thoughts, and prayers go out to all who know and love them
- I cannot begin to understand why he could have done this to them 😔♥️

"The suspect and the victims are familiar with each other". I would/should say so.....

North Port Police Department
·
UPDATE: Dima Tower has been booked into the Sarasota County Jail on two counts of Murder.
EARLIER: The suspect was located near I-75 and Laurel Road and is currently in custody. Thank you Venice Police Department, Sarasota County (FL) Sheriff's Office and Florida Highway Patrol
EARLIER: The North Port Police Department is currently investigating the homicide of two individuals in the 1200 block of Mallicoat Road. Shortly before midnight on August 31, 2023, officers were called in reference to a disturbance.
Upon officer’s arrival, a white male was observed entering a vehicle registered to 21-year-old Dima Tower. A pursuit was initiated. The vehicle ultimately fled north on I-75 where it was forced to a stop at mile marker 192 (unincorporated Venice). It is believed that Tower was the operator who exited the vehicle and fled on foot into the nearby woods, he is currently being sought after in the area. The search is being conducted by the Sarasota County Sheriff's Department in conjunction with NPPD.
The suspect and the victims are familiar with each other.
Tower was last seen wearing black shorts and a sleeveless black and white t-shirt and is considered to be ARMED AND DANGEROUS.

Although I began cycling again as a mountain biker almost 30 years ago, I spend a fair amount of time on the road, and had never learned "tip # 1", and have always found it to be a problem: How to turn and look behind you without causing your bike to swerve. I ran across this video this morning and thought others might find it helpful. It takes up the first 1:40 seconds.

Thanks for the tip!
Now tell me what the proper way to ride a bike carrying a couch is. Thanks in advance!

If you've ever been to China, it's pretty amazing what people are able to transport on their bikes.

The kangaroo rat threat is for realz. Tread softly, the tunnels are everywhere. When you step on one it collapses and you'll drop about 6 inches in an instant. After about 45 minutes out there Big Party Garage Bill's knee couldn't take the sudden drops any more and we had to leave after only seeing half the acreage.

God Damn feeble old people. They really are becoming a limiting factor on my adventures. I need some younger friends who can keep up with me.

Last night I made mashed potatoes all by myself, I had no team to relieve me if my wrists got "too tired" mashing the taters. For fucks sake, who gets tired while mashing taters?
