Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg joins MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell to discuss how all of the voting data is pointing in the same direction: There’s a “huge” spike in Democratic performance in special elections since Roe v. Wade was overturned.
I don't think it's coincidental at all that Trump is now walking away from the far right on abortion. He knows it's toxic. And - probably smartly - he calculates that he has less to lose from the far right than he does the middle-right (which is the far-left wing of the R party).
That said, he's dead if the far right - mad about abortion, and fatigued by Trump's legal troubles - simply stops participating.
