The first sentence there is a reading comprehension problem. I'll let my posts speak for themselves.

The second is something of a category error - there are really a couple different things going on:

1 - Broadly, in the context of discussion the 2024 election, the choice simply IS binary. There will be two serious choices (and any other choice, regardless of what someone scribbles on their nametag, is a choice of Trump). So, in the context of discussion the 2024 election, it's all-left or all-right.

2 - More narrowly, in the context of discussion of any particular issue, all that's asked is that you offer your own reasoned opinions, and that you show your work. You consistently run and hide when asked for facts or evidence - and the most logical conclusion to draw from that is that you simply don't have facts or evidence. Because, if you had it, why wouldn't you show it?

I disagree. Many of the Right are entrenched in religious dogma, but the majority of us care about the economy (which encompasses matters such as the border, inflation, energy prices, and outsourcing), fixing a broken educational system, and the economy - in that order. Did I mention the economy?

No one I know of genuinely thinks DJT is a man of God. There are idiot outliers, sure, but no one seriously believes it. We’d love to see a person of faith who can also effectively address the primary areas of concern step up and take the reins, but it looks very unlikely.

I will not be voting for either candidate because I don't think either candidate is a good choice to be the President of the US for the next term. This is not a default vote for Trump. Don't deal in absolutes.

By not voting for either candidate, I will show that I don't have faith in the current political system to represent me ( at that position ). It is a minor minor power. Just as minor as one single vote would make for either of the candidates. But it is something.

It's as much of a minor "power" as waking up on election day, smoking a bowl and getting so high that you forget that it's election day. It doesn't "show" anything unless you back it up with virtue signaling on social media to explain it.

Very very much, with all my theories on how a Democracy could ideally be run and the principles at the core of how leaders should be chosen, agree to disagree.

On a grand scale, if voting numbers are at a record low, that would show something.
On my own personal scale, I'm not vocal about politics unless asked, and it would show, or I suppose justify/strengthen my position, if asked.
And most importantly I would stick to my beliefs and feel like my voice, or lack there of, was being 'counted'.

Respect. It's what I often do. I vote third party the majority of the time, even in local elections. Unless there is a particular candidate/I feel strong about that justifies a D or R vote.
