It's hard.

I love Bean. And I'm grateful to have a backup with his athletic ability.

But there's a reason he's the backup.

Yeah. Worse, Bean was probably going to be used for gadget plays.

He’s just missing guys.
That third down would have been a very tight pass but it shoulda been closer than that.

He’s a good backup.
But Texas is no 3 in the nation.
Not great for him to have to take over last minute.

I hate that both teams I cheer for routinely get too cute in short yardage and run stupid shit that fails.

He’s poor at those six yard outs.

We don’t have the protection to allow him the latter.
