If he has a herniated disc he should be able to play through it.
It is an injury that I think is played up to support billions of dollars of surgeries.
Dr. John Sarno would agree with you.

"journaling"?

He said most of his patients improved simply by learning and thinking about the psychosomatic connection to pain, and that others recovered by journaling regularly and, in some cases, doing psychotherapy.

Solid results. I did my dissertation on the Nocebo Effect. Amazing how much influence expectancy has on pain.

It worked.
It worked for multiple people who I have known who had been diagnosed with back issues. People I know. People I just met.
I know it sounds silly and I was the biggest doubter but I couldn’t find a solve and the operation did nothing for me.

1st back surgery - 50% success rate
2nd back surgery - 30% success rate
3rd back surgery - 15% success rate
4th back surgery - 5% success rate

My dad had two spinal fusions 35 years apart. Looks like a human question mark and can barely move around today. Sad.

Glad you got relief.

I had unbearable back pain for two months. It turned into neuropathy and drop foot. An MRI showed that I had stenosis between L4 and L5. The 'tunnel' through which the sciatica exits the vertebrae had narrowed and was compressing the nerve. Eight weeks ago today, a hemi laminectomy was performed. The Dr used a Dremel to enlarge that opening. I have no back pain and the neuropathy is dissipating rapidly. I feel pretty lucky.

Great outcome for stenosis. But to be sure, let's give Mich your x-rays.

That'd be pretty fucking rad.
With Bean at QB? Doubtful. OSU game revealed his true colors. Absolutely self-destructed and took the team with him at clutch time. If he doesn't throw that INT in the end zone, it is a completely different game.

Hi.
You’re halfway to your prediction. Pretty cool. I’m hoping for the over.

If we go to Ames and get OSU Bean and OU defense we win.

And if that happens you have Tech and ksu at home back to back.

I mean, there’s a non zero chance we win out. It’s just we kinda suck on the road and have for a while.

Or maybe Daniels decides to play, and things get decidedly easier.

Maybe?
Is Daniels, who hasn’t played for a month and maybe hesitant to run or take a hit, really a sure thing?

Or do you see games like Texas and ksu last season after he returned?

Who knows? It’s the binary nature of this team.

Daniels is our most skilled QB and the threat of what he can do makes KU's offense harder to defend. I hope that he is available to play at some point this season although I understand that his back issues may prevent that. An elite athlete with a bad back is no longer an elite threat so if he isn't healthy then I am glad our backup is at least competent.
