I read a pretty smart analysis yesterday suggesting that what Willis is doing is buttoning up, with plea deals, the fundamental criminality of each of the different aspects of the conspiracy. The idea being that if she has legally established that criminality at "ground level" (so to speak), there's really nowhere for the people at the top of the scheme to go.

This isn't exactly the same thing as - but it definitely dovetails with - the strategy of getting lower-level people to give up the next rung, etc.

Take the 5th, and you probably cost daddy (and yourself, a portion of) 8-10 figures of "cash"* (and daddy's words about people that take the 5th hang on you, AND daddy probably throws you under the bus to try to save himself). Testify truthfully, and you almost certainly cost daddy (and yourself, a portion of) 8-10 figures of "cash",* BUT you stay out of jail. Testify untruthfully, and you almost certainly cost daddy (and yourself, a portion of) 8-10 figures of "cash",* AND you very probably catch a perjury charge that could land you in jail.**

* Suffice it to say that Trump isn't NEARLY as wealthy as he projects.
