Juan is really good when he drives. He just doesn't do it enough.

Isn’t Timberlake a guy that’s supposed to be a good 3 point shooter ?

I could be wrong, but it sure seems like Hunter almost gives up as many buckets as he makes.

Just wait until it's not Ft. Hays State.

Id love to be wrong and I have full confidence that Self will fix what ails him on that end.

The unfortunate thing for me is that he's just not that fun to watch or cheer for and he comes with a cloud of blah that makes it even more difficult for him to climb the likeability ladder.

not sure how much Self can do about quickness (or lack thereof)

reading most of the internet takes on this team after two lackluster exhibitions makes me wonder if the talking heads have been watching the same games

(or maybe we’re just overly critical)

Hunter Dickinson

I've mainly only watched him in the two games he's played since joining KU, but every time I hear or read this: 2× First-team All-Big Ten (2021, 2023),
it makes me wonder about the Big Ten.

Hopefully, it's too early to judge.

I think part of the deal with HD is just getting used to a new system and new coach. He does have some ball skills. As we see every year, team defense will improve under Bill Self. 3 pt shooting can't be as bad as it's been so far. Juan and KJ need to look to score a little more often. Jackson and Furphy will contribute more as they get more comfortable at this level. Everyone needs to rebound more.
