Being a storied, elite football school, and growing up with that all around you, might be better than the same for basketball. We know there's more $$ in it, that's for sure. I just don't know -- i've only known bad football ( though i've been to football games at home stadiums where this is the case ).

But simply being a football school isn't automatically better than being a basketball school.
Not when your basketball program can be argued as the greatest of all time.

this conversation is premature. we have a long way to go before we are the kind of football school that is better than our kind of basketball school. long way to go.

i've been to ksu football games. they are fun.
but being ksu ( a football school ) is not better than being KU ( a basketball school ).
ten years? bill snyder arrived in 1988.

The key is having competitive programs. Bad programs impact everything from media sales to suicide rates.

desperate
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

k-state prior to bill snyder was clearly a basketball first school. today it's a football place. no desperation, just facts.
