Re: Kansas Football 2023 Season
As of this moment, the consensus seems to be KU will be playing in the Pop Tarts Bowl.
Against... UNC? NC State? Miami? BC? Duke? VaTech? I think if Clemson wins out there is a slight chance we may face them.

Rainbows I'm sorry you have nothing better to do than to go digging stuff up on a message board.

I just went to the Pop Tarts bowl website, and although I know the little click here icons are a picture of a pop tart with a bite taken out of it, it sure does look a lot like Kansas.

I personally would love NC State in the Pop Tarts Bowl.
Give it to me.
Give it to me.
Re: Kansas Football 2023 Season
I still have PTSD from watching Philip Rivers pick KU apart for NC State in the 2003 Tangerine Bowl. Thirty point beatdown, IIRC.

Yup.
Mangino's first bowl game I think.
We were just happy to be there.

And David Jaynes in 1973. Kansas gave it away, basically. To Lou Holtz

Pop tarts are a great camping treat

He'd have to be in the same state as the rest of the team for that to happen.Back2Lawrence wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 2:34 pm Maybe JD6 would come in if Bean gets hurt? Wouldn’t that be something. Hope it’s not even remotely a possibly.

I give the benefit of not knowing the inside workings of how much pain his back issue might cause with travel here.
I am extremely hesitant in regards to viewing athletes as soft, unless they have a history of doing so. These people compete at levels most of us can’t comprehend.

Well, I meant to correct my sentence not quote myself. Haha.
Re: Kansas Football 2023 Season
I am not faulting him for not being there. My back has been a mess recently so I empathize with him tremendously. My response was purely literal. Whatever is wrong with his back is preventing him from being an option as a backup as he doesn't even travel with the team. Will he be in pads on the sideline this weekend and change that? I don't know, I doubt it. If I had to guess I'd say he has taken his last snap this season but who knows. It would just be a guess based mostly on my own lingering back problems.Back2Lawrence wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 9:32 am I give the benefit of not knowing the inside workings of how much pain his back issue might cause with travel here.

Back issues suck.
I have thought he was done for the year at least since the OU game.

Re: Kansas Football 2023 Season
his back pocket is more likely his biggest back issue. looking for a big nil hall next season in lawrence or elsewhere. and why not, he's not playing in the nfl.
