Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
Re: 2024
It’s cool. I was thinking the same of you.
How anyone can look around at the state of this country and say “More of this, please!” Is beyond me.

-2021 and 2022 were the two strongest years of job growth in history.
-Nearly 11 million jobs have been created since President Biden took office,
including 750,000 manufacturing jobs.
-More people are working today than at any point in American history
-Unemployment is near 50-year lows
-Unemployment is below 3% in 17 states
-11 states and the district of Columbia have record low unemployment
-A record number of small businesses have started since Biden took office.
-Unemployment for people with disabilities is at record lows
-More Americans have health insurance than at any point in history
-Gas prices are down more than $1.60 from their summer 2022 peak

None of that matters with inflation out of control and interest rates skyrocketing.
Jobs are slowing down in response, and the employment figures don’t account for people who are underemployed or having to work multiple jobs to get by.
And let’s not even get into the impact of the Biden open borders policy.
You can use statistics to put lipstick on a pig, but I still ain’t interested in kissing it.

Re: 2024
Inflation down though. A lot of the remaining gouging is interest rate fueled. The Fed has really screwed us all. The old remedies in a new economy. Some of the inflation is trying to make up for forty years of flat wage growth. Again, that was the Fed too. Always quick to bemoan high employment

I still can’t help but wonder how Biden would be received if instead of throwing bajillions of dollars at two new flavors of never-ending wars, he instead put those resources toward something that actually benefits, well, anyone?
…okay okay…anyone besides the MIC and, like, Halliburton.

Re: 2024
The NOT funny thing is JK is a perfect example of the majority of the sentiment in this country.
The bottom line is no matter how people want to sugarcoat the Biden tenure... It seems (fact or not) the majority of voting Americans are NOT happy with Biden and the current state of the country (and world).
I'm someone who voted for Biden. I am someone who would not vote for Biden if the election was held today. That's not to say I would vote for Trump, because I wouldn't, but I would not vote for Biden. That's one less vote than he had in 2020.

Re: 2024
I mean, here's your reminder that this IS the first presidential election for which I'm eligible.
But, for those of you who know my name in real life - anyone wanna go down in history with a bang, and instead you run for POTUS and have me be your veep?
just look how well it worked out for Lincoln and Kennedy!

Careful who you choose to associate with. You'll start acting like them, and then it's all downhill from there. Unless you like acting like a 16 year old mean girl in an adult man's body, in which case, continue to learn at the feet of the best. I guess that works for some people.TDub wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 5:44 pmI thought he didn't belive in the Kung Flu?Overlander wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:49 amCareful, he knows Kung Fu.KUTradition wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:43 am plandemic and rigged election

Now, let’s see one of those cute little “ignore” notifications, that prove that you actually DO read what I post, as well as exposing your pettiness.
