cuz, despite him being the unilateral aggressor here and grossly overreacting - with violent threats! - to an innocuous unrelated comment, the outrage from which coming from more than anything his own self-centered misunderstanding; he maintained he was the victim, and that it was him who needed some legal restraining order against me.

(Honestly I hope he DID go to the cops, show them the “Overland Park hotel” comment, try to make his case that that comment should be legally actionable, while also showing his own “I will find you and off you and beat the shit out of you” comments, and see what the cops have to say to him)

In fact, I kinda wonder if he’s putting bad juju in the universe toward pdub for suspending him. How dare pdub! Just for making a few violent threats?! When the real big scary evil part was a hotel?!?!!?!!!

Honestly, if mjl does return, I’d be willing to forgive. My “turn the other cheek” ideology tells me to.

But, I will say, it would be an awful lot easier to forgive him, if he displayed like one little teeny tiny scintilla of humility himself.

And, to the point - that’s the thing! I dunno if mjl ever HAS displayed humility! He’s always been completely full of himself, up to and including this most recent and really most egregious instance of him going full gusher with the threats while still maintaining he’s the victim. His massive ego is what made him think that shit was OK in the first place.

And, lemme guess what some of you guys are thinking. “BuT OuS YeR FuLl Of YeRSeLf!!!” Yeah yeah yeah. I know I know.

But, believe it or not, I at least try for humility. That’s why I have so often apologized, or at least tried to, every time I actually do something that dumb.*

Does anyone expect mjl to come back and apologize?

Q was clearly asking for it. Not sure why anyone is surprised at how it went dowb. That's Qs MO. Provoke and then play the victim. He loves the sympathy.

I'll take Plano's word for it that Q is a different person away from the online messageboard realm, but my god. The last 6-12ish months have been really weird to watch.

I hope he gets it figured out. He is clearly dealing with some inner demons.

I will say that after hanging out with Ousy a few times, you realize that there is a part of him that enjoys being the bellows that makes embers become fires.

IMO, he has gotten a bit rambunctious, and well past many things that I believe in.

But, he is actually a decent dude in person.

And he didn’t cry when we crashed the Mexican-Bar at 1 am. I am going with his explanation that he got a little lime in his eyes.
