2023/2024 NCAA Season
Re: 2023/2024 NCAA Season
Anyone remember #3 Marquette?
They're currently losing to Wisconsin on Fox, 36 to 23, with 3:25 left in the first half.
May it ever be so.

I bet he has a big season. He wasn't quite the right fit at kansas. But his skills should fit really nice where he's at nowRainbowsandUnicorns wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 6:28 am Anyone remember this guy?

Re: 2023/2024 NCAA Season
So my seat last night was section 5 (about the N FT line) row 27 (very top row).
If you go looking for tickets and see this row, even though you are as far up as you can go, they are wonderful. There is a bench to sit on, one for your feet, and a back to the seat. When you stand on lower bench, you are about a foot over the next row down, with an absolutely clear view to the court.
I was more than pleasantly surprised.

Typical. Crazy the difference a different match up on a different day can make. They weren't all dialed in and excited like they were to play against KU (superbowl)
But I guess that's why basketball is so exciting. Anything can happen

Was the crowd into it?Back2Lawrence wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 12:25 pm So my seat last night was section 5 (about the N FT line) row 27 (very top row).

I think the crowd was pretty loud. My left ear is half muted right now probably of my own doing, and I can attest to the fact that I was pretty uncomfortable in the environment with imbalanced non-stereo sound. Which should indicate effing loud, I think.

Re: 2023/2024 NCAA Season
so #3 Marquette lost ...
#2 Arizona in a fairly tight game v Colgate ...
#1 Purdue goes down ...
#4 goes down ...
Interesting ranking coming next week...
Where does KU bounce?

Re: 2023/2024 NCAA Season
Zona will be #1 followed by probably Purdue at #2 and KU at #3.

ksu going to loose at home to northern alabama. tradition of excellence.
Re: 2023/2024 NCAA Season
Purdue lost to an unranked team.
We lost to the no. 4 team.
Doesn’t really matter to me though.

Re: 2023/2024 NCAA Season
Painfully sad to see #12 Kentucky lose to UNCW 80 to 73.
And
#7 Duke lose to GT 72 to 68
Duke's record is now 5 wins & 3 losses

NIL and the portal sure has caused parity!
Re: 2023/2024 NCAA Season
Nova has now lost to Penn, Drexel and Saint Joseph's. Get Temple on the schedule and they can get swept in the Big 5.
Woof.

Re: 2023/2024 NCAA Season
Seriously Who would be your first choice for a coach?
Most of the great ones are old but would Rick Pitino come in for 3/4 years? Could Shaka handle the UK job? Beard has a past would he be considered? Would Mark Pope be able to get the talent here?
(once again, Rupp Rafters a special kind of comedy)
Re: 2023/2024 NCAA Season
Pope is good, but recruting.....
Hell no on Beard. Domestic abuser.
Shaka? I dunno....
Pitino is too old, don't know if he could handle the pressure at this point.
Give me a crack at Lloyd or Drew.
