Nice. A game in Phoenix against another high scoring offense. Sounds fun. Awesome that KU made a bowl and gets another month of practice to prep for next season when they return a lot of starters.

None of these matter other than practicing and winning. These bowls are looking to sell seats. UNLV is virtually at home. Kind of like last year.

"Looks like" maybe they couldn't get who they wanted? UNLV is a surprise.
Guaranteed Rate pays out a substantial but comparably low 1.6 million. Not too many teams want to be away for Christmas. Not really a great nor desirable Bowl game if given a choice.
Las Vegas Bowl (where Northwestern is going) pays put 2.9 million and the kids will be home for Christmas. Which Bowl would you have wanted to be "invited" to if you were Northwestern?
We (KU) were originally thinking and probably wanted Pop Tarts. 6 Million payout.

P.S. For those of you going...
One of the nice things is if you wait until kickoff to buy your ticket, you should be able to get in for $5.
Another nice thing is KU has the better sideline.
One more nice thing is there are worse places to be on December 26th.
A bonus nice thing is the Suns play the Mavs Christmas Night.
Other than that, I don't have too many other nice things to offer.

I’d just like a bowl win, no matter who it is against. UNLV has more wins than we do so that’s something.
