Yes Alcindor
No Magic (Bird won the Naismith)
No Worthy (Sampson won the Naismith)

Larry Johnson from 1990 UNLV coached by shady shady Tarkanian.
Johnson won a Naismith and was a #1 overall pick but never got FF MOP. UNLV's Anderson Hunt won MOP in 1990

Nope.
Johnson was never the MOP in the Final Four.
Also, I fucked up! I meant to say ALL IN THE SAME YEAR.
So is it just Anthony Davis, Danny Manning and Lew Alcindor that did all of them in the same season?

Lew Alcindor wasn't after 1988 though.

I don't see that anyone else did it besides Anthony Davis since 88. I just meant that they are the only three to do it at all that I have found.

Since 1966 - yes. I didn't go back further.

There was no "Naismith award" past that so that's as far back as it goes without changing the criteria.

Yep, looks like 69 was the first year.
The other thing of note is I am unsure if/when there is/was a difference between tournament MOP and Final Four MOP - because I did say Final Four MOP in my initial post.

Not sad that #5 UConn beat #9 NC last night, 87 - 76.

Anyone have any idea WTF is happening over in Manhattan? Looks like the fans have lost their damn minds. Yesterday they staged some sort of corny protest around the fact that their best player has been suspended by the team for allegedly punching a woman in the face in a bar fight and after the protest, the school announced that they have kicked the player off the team.

With this on the heels of their football OC, a KSU grad, ditching them for Texas A&M and KSU fans have lost their shit.

penn hanging with uk
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I fear Penn might have too many hard working, fundamentally sound, players on their team.

I listen to Kurtz youtube occasionally. He implied the President (Linton?) basically undermined Tang. And their athletic department is imploding with portal entries and coaches leaving.
