Suns are an enigma. I get that having Beal injured is a major factor but they still have enough talent to win. Unless you are getting effort like this.

Fwiw Metu had 23pts and 19rebs. So regardless of not running back on that one single play, I'd say he gave them a pretty good effort last night.

The Mavs are good, especially when Doncic has a historic night. The Suns will be scary come playoff time if they are healthy.

It’s a perfect example of how replay should be used in all sports.

If it’s not clear ( it’s not ) go with the call on the court/field.

One of the announcers wisely said, you see what you want to see.
What I saw was LeBron was 100% right that what he pointed at, his toe was behind the line.
What I also saw was the rest of the replay showed his toe was probably on the line a micro second after that.

I'm a LeBron fan, but my goodness he does himself no favors by freaking out like that.

And I agree with Gutter, at the standstill it looked behind the line, but as he loads his legs to take the shot it looks like it touches.

Either way, non conclusive so the call on the floor should stand.

Should the whiniest bitch in the history of the league be considered a GOAT ?

Speaking of the GOAT......
His 9th coach is a dud. His staff sucks too.
NBA head coaches don't really do jack squat but if they get credit when their team/s do well, they deserve blame when their team/s do poorly.
Fans booing him and wanting him gone are one thing, but this guy is getting blasted by "brothers". Those who are supposed to have his back. That's when you know you're basically a dead man walking.
LeBron has played 32 of 35 games and Glass Davis (who is due for an injury) has played 33 of 35 and the team is sub .500. Currently the 10th seed in the West. I feel they can only get better if they stay healthy and make a move or two but they have WAY too much talent for this team to be as shitty as they are.
Give me AD, LeBron, D'Angelo Russell, Austin Reeves, Rui Hachimura, Cam Reddish, etc, and I am confident I could be a .500 coach if I could pick my assistant coaches realistically.

I would counter that, with any roster of current players that you choose, you wouldn’t sniff .500 or above

I would counter that with if you believe your statement to be true, let me ask you this.
What would YOUR record be if YOU had....
C Jokic
C Embiid
F Anthony Davis
F Antetokounmpo
F Durant
F Tatum
F James
G Ant Edwards
G Gilgeous-Alexander
G Curry
G Doncic
G Booker

I am 99.9% confident your team would be over .500 with that roster, just as I am 99.9% confident my team would be over .500 AND as I said, "I could pick my assistant coaches realistically".

There'd be a half dozen very unhappy superstars on that team and you wouldn't have the locker room respect to put a stop to it. Not sure you'd have a full 5 willing to step on the court for you.

A. You assume there would be "very unhappy superstars". Could be but......
I believe there are guys on that list who would probably LOVE to play on that team together - FOR A SINGLE SEASON.
Something I have said too many times. In TODAY'S NBA, while very difficult to make happen, there could have been guys who never won a championship who wanted to play together for a million dollar salary FOR A SEASON to try and win a championship together. Such as Ewing, Nash, Wilkins, Reggie Miller, Iverson, Stockton, Barkley, Karl Malone.
B. You assume I wouldn't have the respect. Probably a safe assumption. But.....
Success breeds happiness.
I could/would walk in on day one and tell the players - You're right, I don't really know jack shit but your assistant coaches do. Fuck me but listen to them, respect them, and all you have to do is listen to me when I sub you in and out of a game.

I think NBA coaches do a lot more than you give them credit for.

Trick question!

If gutter coached Lebron then Lebron would have gutter replaced with some buddy buddy GM-Lebron-hand-picked coach by the trade deadline

Or…plot twist…

Lebron IS all buddy buddy with gutter, and the two are photographed on a banana boat float in the Caribbean together. DWade was there too.

But it’s not a good photograph, just a blurry camera phone photograph, because gutter

Yes. No.
Meaning, some yes. Some no.

Once again....
I bring up my having dinner with two NBA players in the middle of a season.
Both guys played for different NBA coaches in their careers.
I asked them about practice/s. They laughed and said their practices were a bad joke and their HEAD coach didn't have a fucking clue what he was doing.

I bring up my sitting 2 rows behind Luke Walton when he was coaching the Lakers. Watching him with a constant confused look on his face not even know who he should substitute in and out of the game at different times and actually watching the players (not the assistant coaches) help dictate substitutions.

I bring my sitting in courtside seats (right next to the visitors bench) for over 10 seasons and paying attention to what head coaches and assistant coaches do during games. How some teams had a majority of players who didn't really pay attention at all and how other teams had ALL their players be laser focused.
How some head coaches walked up and down "the bench" actually teaching players about certain situations while other coaches wouldn't say a single word to the players during the game.

Yes, I generally minimize the affect/effect head coaches have and it's probably wrong of me to do but overall, I think head coaches get too much credit and too much blame for success/es and failure/s of the teams they coach.

Reminds me of 2015.

Just flipped on the Memphis / Lakers game.
8 seconds in and LeBron is acting like he got hit with a hammer.

Biggest twat in the history of the NBA.
