Oof.
There goes any credibility for arguing for Devonte.
We got the guy who compared Joseph Yesufu to Kyle Lowry coming in hot.

I demand evidence. Where’s the YouTube video with a link to a shop?

Love sherron. But he is somewhat overrated in KU lore because of one play (the steal and the 3)

He's still a badass. Belongs in the conversation of best pg in self Era

But not getting us past northern Iowa stains that legacy. That was probably selfs most talented team ever

Cole Aldrich, Morris twins, Xavier Henry, thomas robinson, tyshawn Taylor
You even had Elijah Johnson, Travis releford, Mario little, Jeff withey on the roster but not even in the rotation

Call me full Sparko but Mason's legacy was negatively affected by multiple trash calls in the 2016 game vs Nova. I think we would have won that tourney had we gotten that win. That was one of the worst officiated games in the tournament i've seen vs Kansas.

Then, as mentioned before, negatively affected by Vonte and Vick combining for 1-12 from the field in the 2017 game v Oregon.

OK bud.
Once you come out and say 'i was way way wrong and Yesufu was not good at Kansas at all and it wasn't anyone's fault but his, definitely wasn't the system he was just played poorly, and he actually was nothing at all like kyle lowry and was not even close to as good as harris, braun and agbaji.'.
Then i'll let it go, bud.

I’m not a reflexive TRUST BILL SELF stan. But - his development record speaks for itself. If it didn’t work out for you here…I have to think it’s more you than him.

There’s dudes who transfer to lower programs and do well because of competition and dudes who transfer to equal programs and do as well as they could have here.

Grimes I think would have been just as good at KU had he bought in. He just got frustrated he wasn’t playing at an NBA level out of the gates and blamed it on the system. Case in point to counter any argument: Agbaji, who was less heralded and ended up going higher in the draft.

I agree 100%. Our system hasn’t historically made freshman guards look good. But the cases of guys NOT being rewarded for sticking around are few and far between. And every single year we see new examples of guys rewarded for sticking around.

Self and his staff liked yesefu too and thought he was poised to break out. That's why they recruited him here. And I've admitted the obvious several times that I was wrong and yesefu didn't pan out.

And he does have a similar body and athletic tools to Lowry. So I wasn't wrong about that. Unfortunately yes never found confidence or a role here

Not good enough bud.

The fallacy Randy is falling victim to is using an outlier to establish a baseline for a comparison.

he so very clearly does not have similar skills and tools as Lowry....

randy with yesefu is like the reverse uno of Q and Braun.

Devons legacy waa destroyed by Covid. That team was winning a title. Devon was amquite a bit better than he gets credit for in these discussions. We win that title and I bet he is much higher on these lists.

I know about 50 guys with a similar build to Lowry.
One of them is a mail man.
