it’s only the genius that can achieve such results while not giving a fuck
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?

I wonder if Furphy keeps starting
he came out strong but ended the game on the bench

Re: Official Jayhawks Boom the Sooners Thread
I think they ran a play for Jackson - or he recognized he had the green light to beat his man early - with that 16-18 foot jumper.
Re: Official Jayhawks Boom the Sooners Thread
Yea.
Tho yea I dunno if that was a designed play or Elmarko just making it happen.
If he gets a jumper going, oh man.
But I envision him more as a slasher. Let’s run a play with an angle for him to catch the pass (or just get by his guy cuz he can), fake one way 2 hard dribbles the other way then leap toward the rim.
And if he gets that and a jumper going, oh man oh man.
I’m also pretty sure he’s currently our 5th best defender?

probably 4th. Hunter isn't a good defender. He did have 5 blocks yesterday though.
Just Ledoux it
Re: Official Jayhawks Boom the Sooners Thread
I think Hunter is better than I thought he would be. I wouldn’t have issue saying he’s our 4th best defender at the moment.

I think that's true. And solely due to him being coachable and having the experience to understand how to work off the 3 really good defenders around him.

Non smart ass response:
Almost every single "play"/action we run on offense gives him opportunities to "slash". Self isn't an idiot. If it were as easy as drawing it up on a clipboard he'd have done it.
He is not a good shooter (yet), which we knew coming in. He isn't going to magically become a good shooter overnight. He needs what almost all freshman need, which is a sophomore year (especially the off season in between). You don't improve at things overnight. Takes time, hardword, and coaching.
Re: Official Jayhawks Boom the Sooners Thread
Seriously if we cut the turnovers to under 12 every game we will be a top 5 team.

Yup.
Makes sense, good output v a high ranked defensive team.
This, according to metrics, was our best win beyond Tennessee ( not just in terms of getting a W, otherwise that’s UConn, but output vs difficulty ).
Keep it up Hawks.
