Would probably be a great hire given the circumstances.

all things considered...yea.

gonna be a rough 24 for UW.

New conference, New coach, pretty much the entire team went pro or is transferring. Not great.

Word on X is that Washington offered the job to Lance and he turned it down.

Hard to overstate how fortunate the Leipold hire has turned out to be. Not only is he a great coach, but he really does seem uninterested in leaving, as long as KU keeps paying him competitively and investing in the program.

Maybe that would change if a truly elite program came calling, but very good signs so far.

This might be my kool aid speaking but I dunno if Washington is that much better a destination of a football program than Kansas is IF LANCE STAYS ( which he would be ) at this point.

Washington has to go to the B10 where they won’t be the big dog and will have more turnover in roster due to the coaching change.

Kansas has an outside chance to win their conference next season if Daniels is fully healthy.

Depends a lot on who they hire, but I think you’re largely right. There are definitely scenarios where KU is a better program than Washington over the next 5 years.

Washington is marginally better. But not "pack your family up and move" better. Plus, once you make that jump you have an incredibly short leash. Even for a coach as good as LL there is risk in starting over.

Washington in the Big 10 is going to produce similar results to Nebraska in the Big 10. I think.

Jedd Fisch is the new UW coach which is huge in our favor. Think Arizona was odds favorite for Big12 next year. Not no more!!!

I love Lance, and I think he'd be great, but you gotta think the Michiganders would shit themselves at the very idea.

This Michigan job was the one that I always worried about if it became open. Michigan would be fools to not push to interview Lance and Lance would be a fool to not take the job if eventually offered to him.

Build your own legacy. Everyone is lined up to disappoint Michigan's fans.

The guy who will most likely be named the next HC has already built his legacy at UM.
Unless he says he doesn't want the job (or dies before next season) the next Michigan Head Coach is going to be Sherrone Moore.
