LOL. Yeah I'm sure that's exactly what happened.

While I doubt that's what happened. I equally doubt it's some running FG attempt you make it sound like.

he knows the play hard chart well.
typically didn't get his guys wins but at least he was happy with them.
Im not the one who has dug a hole so deep that i have to ignore basic basketball knowledge to continue to defend my island
I don't feel I have dug any hole at all. Not in any way.
I'm sorry some of you can't read numbers that prove Vick is/was an above average player here at Kansas.
I'm sorry that you let your personal preference ( i'm not arguing that he has to be your favorite in any way ) get in the way of facts, and that fact being the statistics prove that he is an above average player.

You can shift the goal posts all you want but my argument is sound.

I'm sorry you can't understand that not everything related to the game of basketball can be justified by a number.

Well it can't.
But even using the eye test you can see Vick is an above average player.

Player or scorer?

Things that go into being a good player that aren't a box score category:

BBIQ.
Being a good teammate.
Listening to your coach.
Running the plays that are called at full speed even when the play isn't for you to score.
Trying hard in practice.
And many more...

Isn't that most to all guards in Self's system?
Shots falling are kind of key.
And his type of shots fell higher than average ( shooting percentage ) than other players who scored the points that he did.

Yeah, this is both a complimentary and a critical truth about Vick: the range of player he has shown to be is about as wide as any player we've ever had. Even in the same season. Even if you limit the analysis of Vick to the 4 corners of a basketball court, he's a wild ride.

I still say, overall during his entire KU career, he helped more than he hurt.

Word. I can respect that opinion. Especially considering the chemistry issues and off court allegations surrounding him. It's a judgement call.

Sure, and only one of those do you know for sure he lacked ( i'd put being a good teammate as something he has lacked in the past and this year - of course, we don't know what his personal issues are ).
The others ( BBIQ, running plays full speed ) are subjective and i'd argue you and others are overly scrutinizing this when you're watching and the others ( trying hard in practice, listening to your coach ) you have no clue about.

If me having no clue means that Bill Self hasn't said them to the media then sure. He's never done that. Nor should he. Doesn't mean they're not true.

I'm through arguing with you.
ND, Tdub, JFish and the like don't tend to just make things up or argue with themselves just so they can argue.

Kidding.

And I know those guys are far superior to me. You don't need to keep pointing it out. Unless it makes you feel good, then go right ahead.

I'm just here to help.
