Against 76ers and Embiid 33 pts 7 reb

Then again, they probably got owned on the defensive side.
You might say that.

thank god pro ball is played indoors, otherwise they might’ve been blown away by a stiff breeze
Yeah but.....

Wemby listed at 7-4 210
Against 76ers and Embiid 33 pts 7 reb
Against Nugs and Jokic 22 and 11
Against Lakers and Davis 30 and 13
Against Kings and Sabonis 27 and 9

Holmgren listed at 7-1 195
Had games of 19-10, 24-6, 17-11 against Jokic and Davis. 33 and 6 against Embiid.

Then again, they probably got owned on the defensive side.
i don’t at all deny their skill or that they belong

my (bad) joke was more about how it looks when they’re matched up…it was, uh, awkward

The NBA is broken.
Last night the Bools gave up 73 in the first half, the 6ers gave up 73, the Heat gave up 77, the Warriors gave up 75. The night before the Mavericks gave up 75 in the 2nd half and the Spurs gave up 77.
Tuesday night the Jazz gave up 77 in the first half and 76 in the 2nd half. The Lakers gave up 77 in the first half.
It's getting to the point where I am expecting to see a team score 200 this season.

I bitch when one major aspect of the game is ignored.
I bitch when there is so much damn money being paid to players and fans are charged so damn much money to see them play in person, it would be nice if I/we saw a complete effort.

I'm in the minority....but...I wonder if the game might improve with the removal of the 3 pt line. Maybe it wouldn't, but I wouldn't hate seeing more emphasis on movement, team play, and play design rather than let's see who can shoot from furthest away each trip down the floor.

Coincidence that yesterday I "bitched" about a lack of defense in the NBA and then Luka and Book did what they did - and of course we had more ridiculous team scoring?
Yes, Luka's performance helped the Mavs score 82 points in the 2nd half and Book's performance helped the Suns score 80 in the first half but the Hawks scored 77 in the 2nd half and the Rockets scored 73 in the 2nd of their games.

Luka shot 25-33 fg last night. That's insanely good. I'm laughing that DeletedUser posted on Wednesday that Luka was +900 to win MVP. I'm seeing he's now between +500 and +700.
I just got +700 on FanDuel and took it for $10 (BIG MONEY BIG MONEY NO WHAMMIES!)

I read they have a new rule about # of games played to be eligible for MVP. So since Embiid had only played 33 games it's maybe giving others some hope...so far Embiid has missed 10 games. 65 games played is the magic number.

Right on cue he sat out last night.

I mentioned last night's great battle between LeBron and the Lakers and Steph and the Warriors on the Jayhawks in the NBA thread. Was a fantastic game to watch.
I don't give a damn about excuses (valid or not) bottom line is the Warriors are 19-24 and 3 games back of the 10th spot in the West.

In other NBA action yesterday.....
In the toilet bowl the 7-37 Wizards beat the 5-39 Pistons. Supposedly there were 16,000 people in the stands. I think that has to be tickets sold.

6sers without Embiid, Maxey, and Harris, played the Nuggets tough but lost by 6.

Clippers beat Boston by 19 in Boston.

Bucks had 75 1st half points. The Jazz had 82 first half points.

San Antonio beat Minnesota. Nice W for them.

P.J. Washington had 43 points in a loss.

Man, sometimes the NBA regular season really is tough to watch.

On off days where they ain’t feeling it dudes completely do not try.

For the Celtics, this was supposed to be a big time matchup...but then no AD or LeBron so they came out super flat and the Lakers are playing energized so it's even more magnified even though there is a huge talent discrepancy.

College ain't much different these days.

At least the NBA guys have an 80+ game season, play 3+ games a week, and 48min games.
