Purdue has lost to the 12th place and 13th place teams in the Big Ten, one of which was Ohio State who was playing its first game under an interim head coach after they fired their coach midseason. UConn and Houston are the only teams that don't have a head scratching loss on their resume at this point. Everyone has some warts this year.
Unless I am mistaken, the only teams Purdue has lost to are Northwestern, Nebraska, and Ohio State. I know Northwestern and Nebraska are both above .500 in the Big 10.

We currently have 6.
We can only get 3 more in the regular season...then in theory you could get 3 more in the B12 tournament.

That's a max of 12.
Wow.

Eh.
I'd argue Kevin can do this just not at an elite level.
Yeah, he can. But yeah, just not elite.

I dunno if he’s the kinda guy who can just go makes some buckets happen when nothing else is working, a la Remy against Creighton

Remy Martin had TWO games in his Kansas career where he scored over Kevins AVERAGE this season.

Kevin can get to the rack. He can work his way to a better position where he can take a 15-18 footer. He can some space to where he can get a three off.

Fucking Remy Martin.

I don't get it.

The legend of Remy "getting his own shot" grows by the day.

DH had a game with 6 or 7 3s iirc. Remy never did that. Guess DH is a dude who can "get his own shot" because of that game?

Remy wasn't very good the vast majority of the season. We don't win it all without him, but we don't win it all without any 1 of the main guys from that crew. That was a total team effort.

At this time 2 seasons ago Remy was in that 'just make buckets happen' stretch of the end of the B12 where, in the last 10 games, he averaged 3.1 PPG on 34% FG.

Q loves him some Remy. BofH mustve said something good about him sometime somewhere and Q drank up that analysis as gold.

I loke Remy, Remy did great things a couple very mportant times. But his year on totality wasn't great.

He was great in the r32 and s16 game.
He didn't show up for the e8 or FF game.
Then had some key moments in the championship.

He was generally dogshit for the rest of the season.

There are so many other players who were far better at basketball under Bill Self that could create their own shot you could have used as a comparison.

In other news, we really need Scott Drew to not suck as much as usual this weekend.
They play Houston at noon.
Let's hope we go into the Texas game down 1 for the B12 race.

( pesky Iowa State who didn't have to play Baylor x2 and didn't have to play KU at AFH is also a problem - not sure where they slip up but it'd be really nice to have them do it @ ksu in the last game of the season )

Sure.

But I just go back to crunch time in the natty, when Self handed over the Ferrari keys and Remy started draining these ridiculous step back 3s

Then, after sitting for crunch time, Self puts Dajuan back in, and Dajuan goes full “even tho I’m a good pg I’m prone to complete bonehead turnovers anyway” Dajuan and promptly dribbles it out of bounds.

Just thank the fucking lord the heels didn’t have a Mario’s Miracle sort of shot in them.

The point is, whether Remy or someone else, man is it nice to have someone who can just make stuff happen for a tourney run

Q only reads headlines.

he also takes broad generalizations of players games and applies that without understanding nuance. Then, he attacks or defends those stances vehemently and forever repeats them as unequivocal truths.

he also takes things like "hand over the Ferrari keys" that he thinks is currently and makes him sound smart because someone else said it 12 years ago about Tyshawn and repeats it over and over as if it gets more clever with heavier use.

i’m guessing baylor will be juiced coming off their loss to the fightin’ mormons
Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?
