B12 2024
Re: B12 2024
I'd very much like to completely annihilate Texas ( after sweeping OU ) at AFH as a parting fuckyou for running to the SEC.
Not sure why, but my guess is the line will be around -7.5/-8 and i'm going over anything single digits.

Re: B12 2024
Houston at Baylor this weekend. I don't like cheering for Baylor but it has to happen Saturday. Baylor already did KU a solid this week by losing at BYU to drop into a tie with KU. Iowa State has a home game vs. West Virginia which they should handle easily.
Re: B12 2024
Yea, I think Baylor is our only hope.
That's what you get when you loose to 3 out of the 4 worst teams in the league.

Re: B12 2024
Agreed. Houston's last two road games are @Oklahoma and @UCF. I doubt they drop either of those but who knows. Weirder shit has happened for KU in their pursuit of a Big 12 title in years past.
KU's most likely path to a share of the Big 12 title is a Houston loss at Baylor and KU winning out, including at Baylor and then at Houston in the last game of the year for a share of the Big 12 title.

And Iowa State loosing @ UCF or @ ksu.
Re: B12 2024
Oof, yeah. ISU got off lucky by not having to play @Kansas or @Texas Tech. They got by far the easiest unbalanced schedule of all the top teams.pdub wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 9:28 amYes.twocoach wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 8:56 amAgreed. Also only had to play Baylor once - though it was on the road.twocoach wrote: ↑Fri Feb 23, 2024 9:35 amOof, yeah. ISU got off lucky by not having to play @Kansas or @Texas Tech. Probably not, no.
It's my list.
I understand, objectively, he should be.
Objectively he's better than Dedric and Dedric was a 2nd/3rd team AA.

Re: B12 2024
Why KM then?
To be clear, if we consider longevity of career at KU, then neither KM or HD would be on my list. They'd have to win it all this year for me to consider KM top 25 career.
If the list was "best players" of Self era and not best careers then I'd have a few of the guys you mentioned on the list. Including KM and probably HD. Definitely HD if he comes back next year.
Re: B12 2024
This is top 25 Self players mind you.
The list that I picked would be a combo of what they've done over their careers, their peak seasons and whether I like them or not.
I do not like Hunter thus he doesn't make my list.
Some people love Russ Rob and value him far more than he should be and he's top 10 on their list.
If I labeled my list as objectively the best players at KU under Self i'd have to then lay out all the parameters but would have to take out 'whether I like them or not'.

Re: B12 2024
We voted on this a while back but for all KU players:
https://www.kansascrimson.com/kcrim25/
What I just listed here is closest to kcrim member voting.
The other filters ( Crimscore, Total, Awards ) are very largely objective.
( I think if we revisited and had a revote, I bet Ochai would sneak in there but maybe/probably not Jalen Wilson )
Score category explainations:
RANKSCORE
A combined score of average production, career totals, awards and kcrim member voting.
CRIMSCORE
Metric based on statistics and efficiency per game in a career.
TOTAL
Metric based on total statistics in a career, disregarding efficiency.
AWARDS
Metric based on total awards won in a career.
VOTE
Metric based on kansascrimson members votes.
Awards category explainations:
NPOY
National Player of the Year
1AA
1st Team All American
2AA
2nd Team All American
CPOY
Conference Player of the Year
C1ST
Conference First Team
NCAA
NCAA Tournament Winner
MOP
NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player

Re: B12 2024
For me, this is a very enjoyable post ^^^^. I'll probably come back to it again and again before the game. Thank you.
Please, I implore you to be reasonable...
Re: B12 2024
Opened at -7.
I’m taking that with hopes Kevin plays.

Houston beating the shit out of baylor.
Oh well.
Probably means no reason to play KM today unless Baylor makes a run and pulls off a huge comeback.

The annoying "rebound" Houston fan is in the house.

Re: B12 2024
His halftime adjustments were great.
I don't think it was coaching. Just poir execution. Their big guy had 2 really bad plays. Had a wide open dunk and lost the ball going up, and pretty dumb goaltend....and missed a free throw to win in regulation.
