Dajuan hasn't regressed. He's improved. He's getting better at scoring actually. He might be averaging double figures in conference play?
The thing about dajuan is He's an elite role player that some unrealistic fans are wanting to grow into a star. But he just doesn't have the tools to be that. He's near his ceiling. He's never going to wake up being a quick explosive PG
His PPG are down from last year, his FG% is WAY down (from 47.1% to 43.3%), his two point FG% is down, his three point FG% is down, his assists per game are up 0.3 apg but his turnovers are up 0.2 per game. His rebounds per game are down as are his steals per game. Almost all of his advanced metrics are down.
Sorry, but that's regression. We didn't need him to be a star this year; we just needed him to get better and he didn't.
JFC
3.8% is considered WAY down?
His 3pt shooting is down 0.8%
His pts per 100 possessions, which is more relevant than ppg when comparing different seasons, is only down 1.4pts, which is mostly explained by playing with KM and HD (hell, Kj averages 12.3pts too)....last season we only had 2 guys average more than 11pts per game. This year our top 3 scorers average nearly as many points as our top 4 scorers from last year.
My god. Step away from the ledge.
