If we lose HD, what we have coming in is not nearly enough. That could leave us with Clemence starting at the 5 for part of the season.

If maybe, then my answer is no, we cannot sneak in late and 'steal' Bryson Tucker.
He is looking at the G League.
He wants a bag.

somebody should tell this kid it's 2024. "bags" have been substituted by collectives.

A legal bag.
It's nice looking.
It's a bag you would reuse.

You don't feel confident in a 4th year top 30 6'10 recruit and the #1 overall center in next years class?

That's a hell of a start, especially considering hunter would be dumb to leave

KU will be just fine without HD next year if it lands 1-2 more players who can shoot a damn three.

We've had the most conference losses ever under Bill Self WITH him so I think we'd be just fine without him. If the stays, great. If he doesn't, great. No one is irreplaceable.

Honestly I think every player on the roster might be on the hot seat after this season.

Except for, oh let’s say, McDowell

I don't care either way if we have hunter next season. I miss having rim protection, the most important skill a center can provide in my opinion. Hunter doesn't do that

He's very good at other things obviously but being that slow and not providing any weak side shot blocking is a huge hole in his game (and why he's still in college and not a pro)

Flory Bidunga is only 6'8. That's not ideal for a center.

Am I wrong believing we currently have 6 conference losses and in 19 and 21 we also had 6 conference losses?

You do realize without him we would probably have more conference losses. Right?

i think we’d definitely have more losses, all else equal, with Udeh and Zuby instead of HD

Yes. 8 seed type team or worse. Especially with the KM injuries. We could have games where we struggled to score 50pts.

You don't think we could have lost 5-7 more games without HD?
